Zervas and Pepper on the Cardiff Wheel

The first fruits of my collaboration with Rubberhead Recordings is this delightful wee gem of a clip, the amazing Zervas and Pepper performing live on the wheel one cold Sunday morning last December. All credit to Gary Rubberhead for shooting this one and doing a such a good job on the sound. It was a real privilege to get this session from Paul and Cath, and to be in the pod high above Cardiff with them singing their beautiful songs was something I won’t forget.

Death of a Ghost Hunter

Genuine documentary footage of supernatural shit going down! The most terrifying thing you have ever seen in your life!

Well maybe not, but it is surprisingly good. The latest video from Paul Freeman aka Critic Monkey. Well worth a click.

Mondo Jewellery

Posted in Web Design on October 29, 2009 by colinbond

We proudly announce the opening of three grand new wings on the unspeakable gothic pile that is www.gwendavies.com. At least I hope it’s a gothic pile. If it turns out to be a bird of some kind it’s going to be fucked with three new wings.

Anyways and anyhoo, the new additions, just in time for the festive melee, would be jewellery, jewellery and more jewellery. Yes, you lucky web-monkeys, for your perusal today, all three types of jewellery, namely hippie necklaces, groovy bracelets and er, eerie earrings. Who could ask for more?

Strange Memories of Health

A photo that doesn’t sit too easily with the rest of the stuff we shot that day. ‘Strange Memories of Health’.

Mainly posting this to see how easy it is to link my brand new Flickr stream to my blog. Could become a more regular thing if I don’t have to muck about with html so much.

Gwen’s 2010 lunar calendar

Posted in Web Design on August 13, 2009 by colinbond

Gwen’s got the 2010 lunar calendar back from the printers and it’s now uploaded and online and fully available.

Ta da!

Yes, I know it looks shit if you view it on Internet Explorer on a really old monitor, but it’s going to have to stay that way, at least until my eyes stop bleeding. At least we are now Mac friendly. Bloody Macs.

Gallery section added to home page

Nothing for ages then two posts in the same day. I think I must have been tired after photographing the amazing Amorphous Androgynous a few weeks ago.

So I’ve been necking the black coffee and going though the entire Tom Waits and Radiohead back catalogue in a great frenzy of html coding, and I’ve emblazoned www.colinbond.co.ukwith a gallery of some of the best shots from Harvest.

More galleries coming soon.

The new congruency

Posted in Web Design on June 10, 2009 by colinbond

Sat down with Gwen last night and thrashed out a slightly new look for the web site. We’ve tried to make the menu easier to read, changed the font sizes, removed some of the clutter and ditched the hated teal text and borders in favour of a more tasteful shade of purple. Gwen says the site needed to be more congruent. I think this is something she’s picked up from Mary Queen of Shops. Anyway.

Gwen’s newly congruent web site.

Ta da. Feedback anyone? I particularly like to hear when it doesn’t display properly in someone’s browser. Gives me hours of fun that does.

We’ve also updated the list of shows we’re doing this year.

Today I Die

As you can see, not much has happened in my meaningless life for the last month. Or has it?

Anyway, I’m going to commemorate the void that was April / May by linking to the excellent ‘Today I Die’. It’s a game. Click on stuff. You’ll soon get it. Enjoy.
